Mercury

Has a fondness for romance. Often accompanies Callisto on stargazing tours of the other continents.
His bird mask / goggle combo shields his face from the wind, but is often frightening to other dragons, especially hatchlings, so he usually only puts it on while in mid-flight. With the aid of his steam-powered wings and his natural wind magic, Mercury has been known to fly all the way to the Southern Icefield and back in a single day - all while toting heavy packages and stargazing equipment.

Though Mercury and Callisto have been a long established couple, they waited a long time to have their first clutch. On September 21, 2014, their first three children - Eros (the pretty one), Erebus (the quiet one), and Chronos (the hyperactive one) - were exalted to the Lightweaver. Though saddened that no clans on the planet were interested in providing a home for their offspring, Mercury and Callisto immeasurably proud.

While their first clutch was a success, their second suffered an unexpected crisis. The middle child, a midnight-and-swamp boy, was accidentally offered up for 1000t, instead of 10,000T. By the time the mistake was noticed, he had already be snatched up and exalted to the Plaguebringer. Mercury tries to stay strong for his mate even when he is grieving deeply as well. No one know what exalting to the Plaguebringer entails, but being offered up at such a young age goes against all clan policies. The Tundra pair takes what little consolation they can from the knowledge that he was at least named beforehand.
As the weeks passed, the Tundra family's sorrow lessened to a dull ache, and eventually transformed into joy when their remaining son left for the newly allied Clan Solasrealta. With two brothers gone, their daughter decided it was time for her to move on as well, joining our old friends in Clan Popchyk.
