Biography

This sneaky Fae is a master at hiding her presence, in spite of her shiny green scales and the glittering gems that adorn her beige wings. She's had a lot of practice, after all. When she was a tiny, tiny hatchlings, barely a couple days old, she stumped the caregivers appointed by her adopted clan by sneaking away so cleanly and without a trace that they'd spent hours scouring the lair for her, to no avail. One of the lookouts happened upon her later on, happily munching on a juicy bug. A sign of things to come, some older dragons would say now, remembering that first of many… incidents.

Bean, however, doesn't just sneak. She loves to startle, surprise, trick or confuse other dragons with her riddles and pranks. Today is no different; the sun is barely up, and she's already got other dragons talking. She sneaks and skulks around in corners and in odd places. The ones who see her know that she's up to no good. They chuckle and whisper behind folded wings, wondering who the hapless victim of her intended mischief will be. Little do they know that the joke is on them this time.

For Bean, you see, isn't just sneaking for the sake of being sneaky, or even to confuse the more senior members of her clan (though that's an added perk). She's dropping off little trinkets shaped like inconspicuous rocks in strategic places. There's not much to them, for now… but, once awoken, these ingenious inventions will emit a faint chittering, much like that of many small Faes in a great domed space. To the studious clan, so used to the silence of the library, reading corners, alchemy and transmutation labs, there is no greater nuisance than the chittering of Faes - or, indeed, any kind of chittering at all.

These contraptions won't last long, because the magic that animates them can only exist on its own for a little while... and, by the time they fizzled out (or some ingenious dragon catches on to Bean's ploy), she will already be working on a whole new invention to better the Library... or, more likely, prank her clan.
