Legends say that eternity ago, spirits of magic were created by the gods. Eternity ago, they took on various forms. Weaver is one, named after the goddess whose magic forged her aeons ago during the great war of gods. After her creation, she slept formless for an Age, before waking to protect the children of the Second Age. When they fell, she slumbered once more.
Long sleep never leaves one kind, and so it was with Weaver. She despised the young gods of the Third Age, seeing them the catalysts of the destruction of the Engine. She wandered the Sunbeam Ruins - the land she had guarded in that long-gone Age - and she answered only to her goddess - any other who sought her found naught but a beam of light. Almost as though she had dissolved into ancient light.
