Main Theme: At the crossroads

______ you come to the crossroads alone. Two paths split before you, and you can't turn back.
"Bonsoir, esprit," speaks a voice behind you. Four red eyes watch you malevolently. A white mirror with wings of dried blood walks forward, appearing out of nowhere.
"Who are you?" You ask.
"I am de maitresse of the crossroads," she says, "Of in-between places."
"Oh," you say, "Is that where I am? The crossroads?"
"Oui, errant."
You look out to the fork in the road.
"Where do these go?"
The pale mirror stares at the roads a long time before speaking.
"One leads to da path of Se Lever," she says, "An' de other da path of Poser."
"What are those?" The mirror grins.
"Hell if I know," she stretches her wings and looks to leave, "Now you choose, errant, an' begone. I have more enfants canaille to attend to." You take another look at the crossroads and choose.

______ Maitresse is the mistress of the Clan Carrefour, currently guiding them in the Hellwell Undercroft. She keeps to herself mostly, but always has the final say on clan matters.
