After a lifetime of fighting for the causes of her patrons as a paladin for hire, Clover became one of the founders of Ayrebes after first encountering Nadir, another progenitor of the clan. The two battle-scarred veterans decided to set up a small sanctuary for likeminded wyrms, both taking on the role of "protector" in the lives of other dragons seeking safety and a home in turbulent and uncertain times.

Clover's skill lies in her manipulation of the battlefield, a skill honed by years as training to be a just and good knight. She can appear stoic at first glance but harbours a deep love for members of her clan, often referring to the cluster of younger dragons as her "brood". She has a matronly atmosphere to her and can at times be difficult to impress. She puts the safety of her clan above all else - even if this causes her to be seen as somewhat boring by her brood.
In most senses of the word, Nadir is Clover's soulmate. However, the two have never had blood-offspring together, preferring to mentor and "parent" the younger members of their clan. There is no definite reason why the two have not shared a clutch, but it would be impossible to say the two old dragons were not content with their role as parental figures to the dragons of their clan.
