Muir

Brilliant but shy, Muir is the midrealm of his parents' personalities; quiet and reclusive like Dawnglade, while creative and wise like Theadora. He's not one to cause ruckus, and like to 'proofread' equations for his mother a lot. Now as an adult he is free to flutter and flicker through books as he pleases, taking up his mother's obsession of steampunk and tinkering with stability as well as aptitude. He's so far been able to make underwater breathing apparatuses and floating devices that run off thereabout the same mechanics as steampunk, without hampering the user's ability to freely move about. He's currently tinkering with prosthetic limbs for dragons who have lost limbs or wings in the heat of battles, although the movements are too 'boxy' for him (too much clinks, clanks and jagged motion, not a smooth transition with the rest of the body's motion), so he's been hiding out in his little workspace, trying to go back over the equation for them.
