Skullyeswalker was born alone, in an empty nest with 2 other eggs cracked and empty. He didn't know where his siblings had gone, and he didn't know where his parents were. He just knew he was alone, and he was sad.
After a few days he wandered outside the nest cautiously, but still couldn't find his parents, It ate away at him.. where were they? Why would they abandon him? When he finally saw an outline of a dragon in the distance, he immediately ran towards it. Did this dragon know where his parents were? But instead of being met with open arms, he was met with open jaws. This dragon was trying to eat him.
He was surrounded by hungry looking Nocturnes, probably not to be that hungry soon, when suddenly a big purple and blue Guardian rammed into one, leaving the others surprised, and giving Skullyeswalker time to get away. Scared and looking for shelter, heran into a big hollowed out tree, with glowing light blue mushrooms illuminating the tree trunk. The light was like nothing he had seen before.. though it was blue and cold, it felt warm, inviting. Friendly. It was beautiful.
The rat sized dragon jumped as the Guardian from earlier walked into the cave. Turns out.. this was her home. Oops...
Skullyeswalker convinced the big dragon to let them stay the night, so she did. And then they stayed the next night.. and the next night.... until he practically lived there too. The Guardian, who's name was Yessica, brought Skullyeswalker a Clouded Mith that reminded her of him. He bandaged up Yessica's back legs when they got cut from the fight with the Nocturnes. And.. well... they had 3 babies to take care of on the way. Oops.
In order to get a nest, you need to have an established clan, and since Yessica never thought she would be sharing her log, they weren't certified. They filed in an order, and a Mirror messenger arrived and gave them the A-OK, and a certified stamp. They were official now.
Of course, many years had passed since then. Most of the children ended up going their own way, but some did choose to stay and help renovate the hollowed out log.
Many more babies came from other clans too, looking for refuge. Since they had food and shelter, they usually gave them the ok when busy mothers couldn't care for their offspring. There was nothing Skullyeswalker wanted more than the provide love and warmth and a place to stay like Yessica had done to him, and like his parents hadn't. He wanted every dragon to help eachover, lift eachover up when they were down, and prove the world wasn't as dark and scary as the rest of Shadow Flight seemed. He, if nobody else, would make a warm space, illuminated by light blue mushrooms.
