Biography
This is a demotion. I was working in the Tempest Spire, I was in charge of half the interns! Now I'm stuck keeping these "professionals" from slacking off or destroying their little experiment. Just one little mistake, one little explosion, and Stormcatcher sends me here! I could have fixed the damage, and I could have caught Steve! But no, I'm stuck here filling out incident reports every time one of the dragons here throws a temper tantrum!
Tormaigh was born near the Tempest Spire and was raised to work there. Since she was a hatchling it was her goal to serve the Stormcatcher, perhaps even become a trusted intern with extra responsibilities. Tormaigh spent all her days building and experimenting. Machines, some half finished, others half taken apart, littered her den while she worked on her next big idea. Tormaigh's work ethic paid off. Before long she arrived at the Tempest Spire as an intern.
She started out, as most interns do, making coffee and dusting staplers. This is where she gained her addiction to caffeine, another thing she shares with most interns. Tormaigh rose through the ranks quickly. Soon she was in charge of a large number of the interns and reported directly to the Stormcatcher.
Then the incident happened.
During her time at the Spire, Tormaigh had become obsessed with the office trickster, Steve. Everyone has heard the rumors of Steve, the coffee/stapler/dragon who terrorizes the Stormcatcher and anyone else at the Spire who values productivity. Unlike many interns, Tormaigh was not amused when a Desert Beach Party became a Dessert Beach Party. She even convinced Stormcatcher to let her organize a task force to capture Steve.
She never saw Steve's face, just a flash of red wings, but she didn't dare check the safety protocols before setting her plan in action, it would take too much time.
Tormaigh refuses to talk specifics, but there were sparks, fire, substantial loss of progress, and a good deal of spilled coffee. Stormcatcher took the first opportunity to demote Tormaigh, and to get her as far away from his coffee as possible.
Since arriving, Tormaigh has revamped the system of the facility to be as efficient as possible. She doesn't often sleep, opting for coffee instead. Tormaigh is short of temper and bitter over her demotion. She is learning to enjoy her job and likes the challenge but misses the Spire very much. She's warming up to her fellow staff and thinks one of the patients might be her nephew.
