Biography

The Ghost Prince

Nobody knows who cast the curse. Some speculate that that's a part of the spell, but others are not so sure. When they think about Sarjan after the curse has made them forget him, they know they're missing information. When they try to think about the caster or the very beginning of the curse, there is absolutely N O T H I N G.

N O T H I N G.

So important, it is written differently, and those who try to write it otherwise find themselves correcting it. So important, the word is carved into the entrance of the clan's lair, into the otherwise beautiful design on the floor. So important, in the Bright Queen's throne room the word is carved into the wall, bleeding black blood that stains everything it touches.

The word is important, sure, but nobody knows how or why. It brings frustration to his mother, whose rage at the caster could level entire civilizations; to his father, who just wants this curse to end, it brings great sadness; to his friends, who want to remember their dear companion, it brings despair; and to the citizens of Rotriver Cavern, who merely want to remember their prince, it brings a sense of loss.

And yet from far away, farther than he will ever travel in his lifetime, farther than even his children or grandchildren or great-grandchildren or any generation after him will ever travel

Sarjan hears a dark laugh.

The caster has had her revenge.

- Memory curse? Makes others forget him easily
- Uses curse/average features to blend in and gather information. His victims barely remember him, only knowing that someone was there.
- Quiet and polite, he makes sure to not act too out of the ordinary.
- Those that become his victims only remember the vaguest details - politeness, his stripes, the color of his wings.
- Unfortunately, the curse affects his friends and family as well. Fortunately, they usually remember him after a bit of thinking.
- Has to visit the lair frequently, lest everyone forget who he is. As such, he is usually only sent out for short missions.
- Will go out and try to find groups that wish to ursurp his mother and infiltrate them. Gunshow isn’t too thrilled about it, but he lets the young imp do as he pleases as long as he promises to call for backup.
- The mages of the clan are trying to lift the curse, but as they often forget about it they haven’t made much progress.
- Quiet even around friends and family. He's always been content to be an observer, and has a memory like a steel trap. All the important memories he keeps close to his heart are both written down and magically copied into a scrying bowl-type thing. (why yes, I did steal this idea from harry potter)
- Best friends with Scyfax. For some reason, the Ridgeback has less trouble remembering Sarjan then the rest of the clan.
- Enjoys flying kites. Kites like to attack him.
- Has a small hoard of jewelry he's too timid to wear. Scyfax likes to wear them for him.
- Mid 20's. Probably younger than Scyfax.
- Likes to nap. Will totally fall asleep in the middle of meetings, hallways, doorways, eldritch rituals, windows, conversations...
- I would like to thank Llealynarisia and Aquaclairdelune of the SFR Discord for inspiring his lore

Exalting Sarjan to the service of the Plaguebringer will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
