High Master ⦁ Outpost

A vibrant and diverse trading hub along the coastline of the Southern Icefield, the Outpost is home to those who deal in trade and entertainment; full of life and color and warmth despite the otherwise freezing continent. Merchants and craftsmen pander their wares throughout the vast market, a constant sort of music to those who care to appreciate it and often a welcome sort of buzz to those who've wandered lost across the tundras. Travelers from near and far often find themselves wrapped up in the port city, a tourist trap if there ever was one. Performers and tellers of fortunes and stories alike comb the streets alongside the scavengers, bounty hunters, and pick-pockets that call the Icedrift home.

The Outpost itself is built against the base of the mountain, just close enough to get the occasional glimpse of the Sentinels outside the Overguard watching over the city from a distance. Rising for miles above the Outpost, the Highrise; hundreds of beautiful floating islands that house the wealthy and more exclusive businesses. While most Outpost citizens hold some resentment toward the fortunate, the islands provide the streets protection from most of the harshest weather. It also tends to be a better place for black market trade, as the city guards don't often patrol there due to a higher number of private security employed by Highrise residents.

Multicolored lanterns illuminate snow-covered cobblestones and storefronts, most of which look like they would simply collapse if they weren't built so close together for support. With the Highrise above, it's warmest here; places of business often leave their doors open without fear of inviting in the freezing cold of the Ice domain.
