Biography

Phoebe
Linguist/Interpreter
Loves to Talk – Very Nerdy – Spunky

Etymology
Latinized form of the Greek name Φοιβη (Phoibe), which meant "bright, pure" from Greek φοιβος (phoibos). In Greek mythology Phoibe was a Titan associated with the moon. This was also an epithet of her granddaughter, the moon goddess Artemis. The name appears in Paul's epistle to the Romans in the New Testament, where it belongs to a female minister in the church at Cenchreae. In England, it began to be used as a given name after the Protestant Reformation. A moon of Saturn bears this name (in honour of the Titan).

About
Born into the Clan of the Fire Fang, Phoebe was a energetic hatchling. She loved to learn anything and everything that she could. Her favorite thing was when ambassadors from other flights and regions came into the clan to spread their knowledge of their travels. Phoebe was always around listening to them talk and learning their dialect. As she got older, Frostbite noticed that some of the harder to understand dragons went to her for translation. From that moment on she became the linguist for the clans.

Loving the differences in the languages and dragons, Phoebe took her newly assigned task very seriously. She started to record all the information and notes that she had gathered for her own reference. She is willing to teach anyone that wants to learn. Especially her mate Faye, mostly so when she mumbles something he knows what she is saying. She adores her mate completely, she loves going on adventures with him to the markets as well as meetings so he can see her in action. They work well as a team in the clan and as a couple. They almost seem as if they are one in the same, they can complete each others sentences.

At night in their cave, Phoebe loves to read to Faye. He likes the spooky stories, and on their adventures into the market they found some spooky story books. Phoebe holds all of her books dear. As they were gifts and her mate loves to hear her read aloud to him, because it helps them sleep better.
