Purely magical in origin, summoned by...someone...at some point, now guards the town in which the Reforged reside. "Home is people. Not a place. If you go back there after the people are gone, then all you can see is what is not there any more." A heavily armored wildclaw stands before a group of 60 some-odd dragons, their body is nearly wholly hidden, and what can be seen of it is…odd. The wildclaw seems to be staring them down, though it’s hard to be sure with their face being so heavily covered. “Now all y’all’ve just trodden down into this here place, and…and I’m not gonna lie to you, it’s been…vacant…for a good long time, but I was charged with this town, and I won’t be lettin’ any folks just come ‘n settle here without just cause,” they pause, tapping sturdy pointed claws on the dusted stone path. “Now it…it ain’t for any memories that I’m stoppin’ ya here, it’s for all y’alls safety. I don’t doubt y’all’ve heard of the things that go on here ‘n the Hewn City, but this town here…it ain’t for any folks, so I’m gonna need to urge ya to keep on movin’. I know it’s dark, ‘n I know y’all are weary, but please, move along.” They quiet, and give time for the party to respond. It takes but a moment for a vibrantly clad wildclaw to step forward. Adorned with shining baubles seemingly of the Lightweaver’s origin, and armored near as well as the speaker before her had been, she makes for an impressive figure. “I am Tristan of the Reforged, and I will speak for us. I have braved these lands before, and know well the dangers they present. We have been traveling for days, and many of us can’t walk much further. We’ve sturdy warriors to keep us guard, and will not pry into your secrets. I appreciate your warnings, and we will bear them in mind as we rest here.” The first wildclaw seemed surprised by the forcefulness behind Tristan’s words, and conceded quickly. “Very well, I only wanted to give y’all fair warning. I’ll stand by you tonight, but I can’t promise any more’n that. My name’s Roswell, and I used to take care of this town.”. |
