There is one time in a dragon's life where they are expected to be completely dependent on others, and that is when they are hatchlings. So why, my little one, so fiercely independent at such a young age? It's as though you hatched from your egg with an immediate distrust of others and you decided you were going to fend entirely to yourself. Or, so you have tried. You are so often seen on your own, your sweet little face so intense and focused on Gladekeeper knows what. When approached, you turn and retreat back to the company of yourself. I do not know what sparked this aggressive disinterest in socialization, but I hope that you learn to appreciate companionship as you grow, because you will miss out on so many precious opportunities if you never learn how to let others in.


You, my little one, are going to be trouble. Already I can see how aware you are of your particular beauty. You bat your lashes and the clan swoons, but your charm is dastardly and I can see the mischief in your eyes. It was only a hunch, maybe mother's intuition, but I decided to watch on as you sweetened your way into our gatherer's heart until she brought you a special basket of berries for you to keep all to yourself. You do not even like berries. You're exercising your power of beauty, and honing your skills in deception. No, your sweet face does not fool me, little one. For whatever clan you venture into, I do hope that you learn to channel that little power of yours into a better cause than charming your clan mates into getting you the things that you want.
