Sunburst knew she was bad luck the minute she saw the looks on her parents face.
It is a very well known fact that Coatls are a very vibrant coloured breed, and those that are pale or dark are said to be bad omens.
In an attempt to prevent torment to their poor daughter, Sunburst's parents named her the brightest thing they could think of in the hopes that no bad luck would come from their poor hatchling.
As an adult, Sunburst knew something was off about her, and sought solace in the Tangled Wood, where her gloomy colours would fit in. Here, she met a fellow Coatl named Cora.
Cora was the epitome of what a Coatl should look like; bright and bold colours and a personality to match. Cora was the ray of sunshine Sunburst had lacked from the day she hatched.
Cora told her new friend to embrace her name and find passion in the fact that her dull plumage could be beautified in the simplest of ways; apparel!
Dawning all the brightest items either dragon could get their claws on, Sunburst has new found confidence in her look.
Now Sunburst truly is a burst of sunlight.
