Personality: A focused workaholic. He doesn't like being dragged away from the task at hand, which is usually reading or sorting. He's always in his library, and has to be constantly reminded to come out to eat or get fresh air. Preferring the company of books over dragons, he doesn't socialize much, though he does enjoy the occasional visitor.

Likes: Books, literature, history, knowledge in general, warm meals, the smell of new books, dimly candlelit rooms and the sound of footsteps in large, echoing rooms. Definitely a homebody and prefers to stay in one "safe" area, usually his library.

Dislikes: Interruptions, loud or inconsistent sounds, rooms that are far too bright, new and confusing places.

Strengths: Bit of a brainiac, definitely good at remembering things and has a good common sense.

Weaknesses: Terrible at speaking or writing, has a lot of trouble putting his thoughts into coherent sentences, often comes across as confusing.

Quirks: Constantly gets paper cuts on the webbing of his fingers.

- Surprise loves reading, and will stay up into the wee hours of the morning just to make sure he finishes a book.
- He hates putting books down in the middle of reading.
- While he loves books and reading, he's a terrible writer. He has trouble putting his thoughts into words, and his writing often comes off as confusing and usually strays from his original point.
- Originally hatched in a water clan, where the magical energies gave him webbing between his toes. He never developed gills, since his wind magic meant he never needed them.
- Had three children with a skydancer back in his old clan, but his dedication to his studies meant that he didn't see them often out of choice. They left the clan before he really got to know them, and he still regrets not being there for them while they were growing up.
- Left his older clan to see more of the world, and study the clans around him. He has many tales and stories from all of the clans he was previously in.
