Biography

Temple Cat
(Earth subspecies)
Source: [Encyclopedia Terraria]

These dragons have become somewhat feral, having strayed from their clans for too long as hatchlings. Now, half-wild, they prefer to prowl around the shattered temple ruins of Cairnstone Rest, prowling on hopping mice, moles, and sparrows whenever they can catch them in their claws. Their dusky fur and feather patterns allow them to blend in with the mottled shadows between the rocks and crevices in Dragonhome. Their long, fluffy coats and coloration are reminiscent of feline animals, giving them the misnomer, “Cat.” This has nothing to do with their habit of purring when content or basking in the sun…

Tigrinum's egg was either stolen or never cared for in the first place. That's why she was born in the Shifting Expanse instead of Dragonhome. The cyan eyes are a reminder of that and a proof that she's not a true Temple Cat.

She still inherited a certain wildness. It made her a troublemaker that kept inconveniencing her late caretakers. She was gotten rid of by being left in the Carrion Sanctuary in exchange for a few machine parts and herbs.

Tigrinum took being abandoned very badly. At first, she did everything she could to make herself a good dragon, hoping her parents would come back for her. She interpreted being “good” as-in: strong independent hunter, being beautiful and being recognized by every dragon that lived near. This resulted in her bothering the older, working dragons a lot. And when they didn’t give her attention she would make mean pranks to force them to do it. Because of that, she’s not very well liked by some dragons to this day. It also makes it harder for her to truly integrate into the family.

While she grew out of making pranks, she still takes pride in her confidence and self-preservation. She doesn’t consider herself part of the Sanctuary family but at the same time doesn’t leave for a long periods of time without visiting. She is not the best company to be having around, with her pessimistic commentary and detached attitude. However, she never fails to aid the clan in time of need. Her rational input and calming presence is vital in stressful situations or a room full of dragons that care too much and can’t see reason.

With every long absence, Tigrinum tries to leave her unwanted home for good. Every single time, she still comes back. Maybe she waits for something or someone to make her either stay or leave for good.
