Hauntedwhisper

A young Skydancer, Whisper, crouched at the opening of a dim cave that was scattered with a variety of objects. Two darkly cloaked dragons flanked him on either sides. Whisp couldn't remember how he got there or who he was. Only that he should get away ASAP. The dragon at his right gave him a slight nudge on the shoulder. With much haste, the Skydancer plodded forward. A great dragon in a shimmering robe stood in the middle of all the commodities. The shining dragon dipped his head when the youngling reached a tail-length in front of him. "You have reached maturity," the dragon said grandly. "So now you shall find your true name that you have proudly earned!" Whisper liked being just called Whisp, but today he will receive his first name. Maybe it will be Harpywhisper? Thought the dragon humorously as he noticed an oversized Harpy Masque lying in the corner. The shimmering dragon stretched out for the Skydancer's right arm and Whisp nervously let him hold it. "Aagghhh!!" Cried Whisp as the shimmering dragon's claw pierced his forearm. He attempted to yank his arm away with no success; the shining dragon had a grip of steel. Slowly, the great dragon put more pressure on the wound and blood sluggishly swelled out. It traveled down to Whisp's elbow, where a single drop fell and splattered on a glowing orb at his feet. The shimmering dragon breathed in, "That's a haunted stone orb. You are now Hauntedwhisper!! Keep this orb as your most treasured belonging." As Hauntedwhisper took the orb, he also quickly yanked his arm out of the dragon's loosened grip and shot out of the cave. When the sun hit him with long missed warmth, Whisp realized nobody was chasing him. The newly named dragon was free at last of the strange Hooded Ones, but he still felt that this wasn't the end. Hauntedwhisper flew as far away from the cave at possible and luckily found the Clandestine Clan where he felt safe for the first time he could remember..
