Biography

Hel
Corrupted/Shopkeeper
"She's ripping wings off of butterflies"

A silent cry was heard outside the lair, a scared cry, soudning almost like one of an hatchling. Laonze rolled his eyes, walking towards it. It was likely a hatchling from neighbor-clan that had gotten itself lost. There had been few of those before. Their parents had always appreciated when they had been returned, and partly thanks to it their clan was not looked so badly as it was at first, though still they weren't most trusted ones. As he made his way to the place where cry could be heard, imperial was shocked: an young skydancer, definitely not hatchlign but not adult either, was curled on itself, it's back and wings covered in wounds and its bright light eyes looking imperial with fear. Old warrior was able to tell this dragon had been trough a lot hardships, and after few hours he managed to get her in the lair and to the healer.

Hel was truly a weird dragon: despite clearly being almost fully grown, she was mentally still a hatchling, and she couldn't stand, fly or even speak, and she was easily startled. It was clear young dragon had experienced a lot, and Pamela diagnosed that he had very severe memory loss, which caused her mental state to be so bad. It also meant she had been traumatized and there might even be damage in her brains. Laonze felt pity young young dragon and started to take care of her. In his care, small dragon started to slowly get better, and took her first wobbly steps couple weeks after clan had found her.

However, as young dragon continued to learn things, her speaking didn't increase much, and it mostly remained as babble-like nonsense. After many checks, it was clear she didn't have anything in her throat that could prevent her from speaking, and as her learning remained slow, Healers were sure it was due to brain damage. She did learn to speak a little over time, but it always remained very unclear, and it sometimes just turned into babbling in middle of sentence, without her noticing.

She did however notice how hatchling-like she was treated, and didn't like it. She didn't like when she was baby talked, and often grunted when others, aside from Laonze, tried to tell her what to do and how to act. Laonze, Mikasa and Serenity were only ones to treat her like adult dragon, which is why she grew more connected to them.

As young dragon started to train her magic, it became clear that there was something wrong: Hel was unable to do any light-magic, wielding shadow-magic and corrupt-looking dark magic of unknown origin. Quickly Pamela draw a clear conclusion: Hel had been corrupted by something, which had lead into her memory loss and other problems. What had corrupted her was unknown, but it wasn't shade, that much she could tell.

Hel grew older, and as more dragons recognized her as adult dragon, she became more open. However, as she got older, her powers became stronger as well, and despite training she was given, they started to get out of her control, causing chaotic stuff, such as turning animals into other animals, causing explosions and even shadowy bolts that hit anything int heir way. It was clear sooner or later they would get completely out of her control, and could, at worst, result her own death. And so, Pamela managed to get Marco to help her with Hel.

As Marco performed the power absorbing, through help of Pamela, Hel's ability to speak got quickly better, and although it was still unclear sometimes, her ability to communicate with others was much better. Although her magic was still very unreliable, she now was able to function like normal dragon, so she started a small shop selling some very weird things, mostly stuff she found somewhere, or made herself from unknown ingredients. She is still quite a dreamer however, and is not always in touch with others, which has caused several misunderstandings.
