Thorn was born into the harsh environment of the elemental Plague flight. From birth, Thorn was forced to survive as his clan scoured for meat anywhere possible. As a result, Thorn is a natural born warrior. He entered the clan as young dragon wise beyond his years. Once he matured, he looked to Sharpscale as his mentor. As Sharpscale aged, he looked for a suitable dragon to replace him in leadership of the clan. Sharpscale found Thorn to be a suitable candidate to lead the clan. Training in the coliseum became Thorn's favorite pastime as he continued to work on his skills and leadership abilities. Thorn met Ariel training in the coliseum one day. He found Ariel complimentary to him in color and in personality. Thorn and Ariel soon became partners as mates, as well as partners in the coliseum. Thorn's responsibilities include hunting, training and acclimating new clan mates, and being a father to his offspring.

Mate: Ariel

Other family in the clan: Tyran (Son), Chloris (Daughter-in-law), Augustina (Cousin)

From page 1 I picked Thorn because wow, just look at him. He's absolutely gorgeous and he is dressed like a Plague witch which is amazing. He seems like a formidable foe and definitely worthy of his position as leader.

I feel like picking the first dragon on the first page gives the impression that I did not look through the entirety of your lair, but I promise that isn't true. When I saw Thorn, I just knew immediately that he needed to be included on this list. I love how the soft pinks of his colors go with the darker reds of the plague apparel. He doesn't strike me as a typical Plague dragon, but he carries off the look very well. I especially like how the Scavenger's Tatters look against his pinks.

-Cognitive

Thorn certainly deserves that first slot in your lair -- what a cool dragon! He makes me want to get my own dragon with rose circuit -- I just love that soft, glowy feel to it which works surprisingly well on a plague dragon. He still looks dangerous as any good plague dragon should, but there's a softness to him too that makes him fascinating to look at!
