Myriad is not like other dragons. He, like his usual breeding partner, Rhodecia, is a Reanimated Dragon. However, he was reanimated unaturally. Myriad is the type of Spiral who would give you a limited time to think on a deal he makes. At the death of the Spiral, Arcane energy had flooded through his body, as if it were some sort of parasite. He awoke again, to an immense amount of power, but no true hold on it. Therefore, the Spiral roams the Isles and many other regions of the world searching for outlets to his power when he came across the art of deal-making from a shaman that was traveling through the Isles at the time and took the man in to the clan after gathering turns.

While the shaman was much younger than he was, the shaman had more experience in making deals and therefore could teach the Reanimate how to dispel Arcane energy from his body if it built up too much. As such, the Spiral became a gambler with the Arcanist's magic, often taking advantage of the surplus of the Isles to do, while not impossible things, but things that were considered difficult to do. Of course, dispelling the magic was necessary for the safety of Myriad's body, as too much Arcane energy would decay the Spiral's body.
