Dravite
curious mechanic.

about.

Dravite has had a fascination with technology for as long he could remember. Whenever his father would put on the radio to listen to the news, Dravite would stare at the little box while trying to keep himself from pulling it apart to see how it all worked. When he was a teenager he'd hide from crowds in phone booths, moving the payphone's dial both as a distraction from the noise and to sate his curiosity (he kept coming back well after figuring that out though, since every time he'd find something new to wonder about and deconstruct in his mind)

And when Dravite was an adult, unsure of where to take his life beyond simply following his passion, he caught wind (hah) of what they were working on in the Expanse, two whole worlds away from his plains and Plateau-filled life: machines that could speak, machines that could think, machines that could feel-

He was fascinated, no, enraptured! Something changed in Dravite, after this discovery, and it was hard to ignore. He continued drifting from clan to clan, repairing small devices and nick-knacks for money and shelter (because though he hadn't studied he still had experience, and experience mattered far more than some fancy papers when it came down to it), but now he'd dig through scrapyards in the little spare time he had, gathering up every gear, wire and bolt that could, one day, be useful. Eventually he'd settle down in an at the time small clan on the cliffs, though he kept visiting dumps and junk yards across the entire plateau.

And then one day on a routine scavenging trip, he found a pile of metal vaguely resembling a Wildclaw, and the rest, as they say, is history.
