When Moratain first hatched, he appeared to be a normal coatl, albeit a little on the smaller side compared to his nestmates. It soon became apparent, however, that something wasn't right. Purple patches began to spread over his scales and feathers, open holes to nothing and everything that was completely foreign to the other dragons. He was deemed a cursed and horrific thing. Something to be got rid of as soon as possible, lest something horrible happen to the clan.
Sugar graciously brought him home to her clan, where he was taken under the wings of Mocha and Camolian, to be taught the ways of peace, how to value life, and gathering of food. To prevent the spread of the strange gaps in space, Cormarinthe and HealingPumpkin created a spell to glaze over the rifts, creating the swirling windows into another world without any harm or dangers.
