The Scavenging Party is the most prolific group based in the Hearth Haven. They excel at finding and making use of scavenged materials from the Waste, and aren't afraid to fight for what's perceived as theirs - hence their reputation as a gang of scourges.

However, it was them who established Hearth Haven as a significant power in the Ashfall Waste, and their services are indispensable to the Flamerest University. While some things are kept to themselves (they are dragons after all), the vast majority of wealth and resources they gather are for the benefit of Hearth Haven. All the structures built into the caverns of the Haven are made out of scavenged materials from the party, combined with the forge's ironwork. Despite their sometimes aggressive methods, The Scavengers are a celebrated faction of the clan.

Their leader, Salvage, is known as Sally to her friends. She likes to go on dangerous adventures and make found-materials jewelry. Half-sister to the Flamerest witch Venus.

Of the triad of Ridgebacks that make up the body of the Party, Hyacinth is the most quick-witted and competent. The way she descends on lone travelers and relieves them of their possessions has resulted in the Party's alternate moniker of The Vultures.

Of the triad of Ridgebacks that make up the body of the Party, Gourdy is the most amiable. He follows orders and does his job well. As the only native fire dragon, Gourdy has lots of practical knowledge about the landscape to share with the others.
