Shock - He/Him - Disciple
Straight

. Despite being frail, twiggy, and overall a very nerdy appearing dragon, Shock's humming tone is deep and thunderous. Some of his clanmates joke that that's where his name came from: the shock that his parent's felt at earing that deep bass.
He is a hoarder, the lover of everything tossed. He feels morally obligated to the charred used candles, the chipped and bent swords, the old rusted clockwork familiars.


"It's funny, really, how much drabness is so overlooked." His eyes were wide, his movements theatric.
"Grays are the colors of metals that fuel the powerhouse of the entire continent. Wood forms the foundations of lairs! Bronze is the color of the jewelry around your neck. These colors are the foundation of everything you love. If you didn't have your nation, your home, or even the chain to your prized jewels, you would be a husk of a dragon. I should not be less of a dragon for being these colors. StormCatcher willing, those judgy conservative coatls will all rot in their prized rainbow feathers."
He works feverishly on his armor, a metallic suit of complex circuits and wires meant to enhance and intensify his already astonishing electric ability. He is a figurehead in the clan, a walking monument to 'harnessing passion', and 'the bountiful fruits of work ethic.'


"Some dragons just don't want to spend their Time on one thing. It seems real... egregious... to assume every hatchling is going to be as committed. My own commitment is self-serving. My value is as an inventor and maybe, maybe, teaching those maggots how to love themselves, and all that. I wish that they'd stop, but I can't tell them not to. They're teaching a good message. Work hard for your dreams and all that."



While friendly and prone to going on long rants, he comes of as brash. He commonly says that he is tired of cramming himself into something palatable for other dragons. He speaks passionately about the mistreatment of dragons across the continent, always ready for a debate for the sake of equality.


"Dragons assume I'm some sad tinkerer locked in my attic of a workshop. Spending my time only trying to improve myself artificially with a sort of armor to protect me from my own feathers and scales." He leaned his head heavily on his talons, as if his words were exhausting.

"In a way, they are right!!! It blows It sucks, I will never be word-proof. I can't hide every feather from the ever-watching eyes of Standard. I can, however, be happy that I am strong enough to not 'correct' myself. I can follow my passion away from all that horse-crap. I'd rather make this armor. I have greater power elementally thanks to this hunk-of-junk." He rapped a fist on his metallic arm, with a soft clunk.

Of course, despite his strong and sour personality, he is enormously loyal to any dragon who has the same beliefs of worth in the discarded. His 'love language' is service. He will do any favor, go to your every concert, spend hours building you Ikea furniture... if Ikea existed in this universe.
He is there to bring you up, making remarks about the small, beautiful trait you never even noticed until then. Being his friend, you know Shock sees every glittering lovely thing inside of you.

To be Shock's friend is to see the world through the lens of value in every thing. Every color and dragon is as beautiful, unique, and awe-inspiring as the next. If you meet him, be sure to bring a banter, he will keep you entranced for hours.
