Simon
Vengeful|| Survivor|| Loyal "Your demons always catch up." Theme Song Simon was born into the snowy world of Icewarden's territory. However, his time as a hatchling wasn't a happy one. His father, left one day on a mission for the clan and never returned from his journey to Plaguebringer's lands. Being the eldest son- their first born- Simon was expected to act strong in front of his sister and brother. It wasn't easy either, especially not when his mother had to steal them away in the night, the three of them clinging to the female imperial's back as she flew up and away from their birth clan. He was cold and scared over what was happening. Why couldn't they go home? Why did they leave in the first place? Did it have something to do with his father's disappearance? Whatever the reasoning, Simon only knew something bad was coming. A few days later he was forced to say farewell to his sister when his mother gave her up to a welcoming Ice clan willing to raise her and bring her up as one of their own like they had with so many other outcasts. It was all so confusing to Simon. Why had she been taken away from the rest of them? Were they next? Was their mother going to scatter them and leave them behind? As the days past in their travels Simon began to see why his mother had done it though. They all needed to eat and being on the run meant little time for a large imperial to hunt for herself and hatchlings while staying below the radar. The little gift of food they had gotten in exchange for his sister was what kept them from starving. For the time being. She still had to fly him and his brother far away to somewhere only she must've known. Simon tried to act brave and did his best to stay in line so they wouldn't be found by any dragon searching for them and prayed to the deities they would survive. They made it to the Arcanist's territory by the time Simon was old enough to learn how to hunt and fly. While they were there an Arcane clan bartered with his mother over something along with a visiting Light dragon. He wasn't sure exactly what the deal was but the next thing he knew the three of them were going with the Light dragon back to his clan. Once there things went sour once more. Simon learned that his mother once again sacrificed one of her hatchlings to survive. His brother was left with the clan to be raised by him and trained to fight and support his new family, which also included a prearranged mate that had been one reason the Light clan had been willing to accept his brother as payment for safe passage and supplies. Simon wasn't sure what was going through his mother's mind anymore. Did she not love her children? They were disappearing one by one to new clans and she just left them behind like it was nothing! Still, he stayed quiet and followed her all the while his mind churning with questions and madness at the lack of answers. They went to another Light clan, once again following the Light dragon there, and Simon discovered that the other Light clan had not been the dragon's home but this place. Had the separation from his brother been for nothing? He stayed away from the other dragons and decided to stay only close enough to his mother to be in reach of the tip of her tail. He wasn't sure if he would need to escape if she tried selling him as well. And then he was alone. Simon woke up to find his mother had left for Plague territory in search of his father. Unable to follow her he was forced to stay with the Light clan. It was there that he learned the skills of healing dragons and making them suffer. Eventually, he became skilled enough to put the guards to sleep with a concoction slipped into their food and flew off towards Plague. He would find his mother and this time he would demand to know the purpose behind what she did. The reunion was bloody. His mother was in a new clan in Plaguebringer's lands and had a new mate with her. The two already had a nest of imperials that were much larger than Simon despite being younger. But it was rage that gave him strength. His rage for being left behind- for his siblings being left behind- gave him the power to strike down her new mate with a surprise attack before he was driven from the clan. Afterwards he didn't even care for his mother's reasons. Simon had his revenge, he destroyed something she actually cared for judging by her fading cries of grief. It was then that he disappeared into the wasteland, donning his new look as a killer disguised as a healer. That was how Death Clan found him and that was the start of his new life. The Plague flight had ruined his life but now it was going to aid him in revenge on any dragon that wronged him or his family. It wasn't long before he earned the nickname The Mad Doctor. |
