A TRUE SCULPTOR DOES NOT
TELL THE STONE WHICH SHAPE TO TAKE;

History . Sabbath grew up in the Cathedral of Eyes, a place that always inspired him. His childhood home, after all, was extravagant. Sculpted from the limestone cliffs surrounding the Lightweaver’s Beacon, the Cathedral was decorated with a myriad of stained glass, crystalline chandeliers, statues, and detailed paintings depicting the structure’s history. As a hatchling, Sabbath stared at the Cathedral’s details in awe, hoping that someday he too could create such a masterpiece.

He began studying under the Cathedral’s prop master, a dragon called Prometheus who had traveled across Sornieth and learned skills associated with glassblowing, weaving, paper folding, sculpting, and carving. Sabbath learned a bit of each skill from Prometheus, but he always had a passion for chiseling and carving stone. Over time, the Pearlcatcher developed various techniques for carving and tried dozens of different tools. Nothing could compare, however, to the masterpieces that Sabbath carved when he used his teeth as chisels.

The Pearlcatcher had abnormally strong jaws and teeth, but over time the enamel became chipped and worn and the muscles in his jaws became fatigued to the point that he could no longer use them to carve. He nearly gave up his art until he heard rumors about a dragon residing in the Southern Icefield who specialized in replacing and maintaining teeth. He paid a captain called Jack to take him; purchasing the service by carving one last statue to adorn the bow of the pirate’s ship.

Jack dropped the young Pearlcatcher off among the glaciers and ice sheets of the frigid floes. Sabbath spent several days traveling as he used a crudely drawn map to find his way to Clan Windfall. It was here that he met Ora, who examined Sabbath's mouth and crafted him an entirely new set of teeth. They were strong and durable, but still needed to be replaced from time to time with the amount of wear that Sabbath subjected them to. Indeed, the golden Pearlcatcher visited frequently enough that he simply decided to stay among the dragons of Clan Windfall. These days, he spends his time carving elaborate statues from both stone and ice.
