 		I was brought into this world with the intention of being
Something, Someone
Full of endless potential and the strength to protect
Any dragon or clan I came into contact with.
What a joke.
My strength is limitless;
Accompanied by the silver glare of a blade,
I curiously eye my reflection one time
As I raise the blade above my head.
“Is this what you want?”
The question sounds in my head like a bell,
Sonorous and almost challenging -
I suppose it would surely be appropriate to call it a funeral bell.
Without a corresponding thought, I easily
Plunge the blade into my target,
Staining the once gleaming, clear silver blade
With the blood of the enemy. “Yes, This is what I want-
Though, less of a mess would be convenient.”
I almost smirk.
(“No, no, no,
This isn’t at all what I want -
Where is the person I once was?
The soul I was?
In this stealthy, heartless body I now possess,
I am trapped beneath the surface of ruthlessness,
When I inside know that this is not who I used to be.
Help me, release me, bring me out of this shell
And free me from this unwanted prison of cruelty,
I beg of you!
This is not who I am -
This is not what I want!”)
I remember the first time that I was brought into this -
“Push harder!
Keep going!
You’re not done yet!
It’s still alive!” Like the bell going off in my head during each killing I perform,
Those same words from my forced execution echo back to me;
You're not done yet.
It’s still alive.
My power is limitless,
My body swift and silent,
My movements precise as I take away the evil that taints others
Just like how I myself was once tainted.
Oh, There may be stains on my blade - those can be SO easily cleaned.
The stains on my heart, however,
Are much harder to wash out.
