Biography
Frost had always disliked living in a clan. Relying on others, with others relying on her... it was all a bit much. She didn't know if they could be trusted, and she was sure she couldn't be. It was made worse by the fact that her parents were the clan leaders, and she was expected to take their place when they stepped down. She was quite possibly the worst-suited person for the job. Not only did she hate the idea of having to do things for "the good of the lair", Frost was also well-aware that she was the exact kind of dragon who would intentionally abuse their power. Some may value this kind of self- awareness. Others may realize how pessimistic she was. It wasn't that she thought she was a bad person - she thought everyone was evil inside. This may stem from the amount of books she read, many of which spoke about tyrants and villains. Some fictional, some not. In the end, Frost chose to leave. Nobody would miss her, really. She'd never made any friends. Others would find this sad, but she found it comforting. She'd always preferred being on her own and this was a brilliant opportunity to do just that, for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. She was attacked soon after she left, by a thieving group of dragons that took everything she owned and left her badly injured in a forest. Frost wouldn't give up that easily. Being royal meant that much of her time had been spent shut up inside a castle with only books for company. Despite having spent little time outside, she knew enough from her books to locate herbs to heal her injuries. But how? you may ask. How could a half-dead dragon search a forest for herbs, when she was losing blood so quickly? The answer is simply - pure stubbornness. She was not planning to give up or give in. Ignoring the pain, the scholarly dragon who'd lived such a privileged life got up and fought on. As imperious and selfish as she may seem, Frost was not the kind to give up. Still, even after she'd managed to find the right herbs to begin healing, chances were she'd be attacked by the forest's creatures once night fell. A bit of a downside to the whole I-will-fight-on thing. Luckily, a dragon named Arum saved her. He took her back to his "clan" - a group of dragons who'd run away or been banished. She rebuilt her life, happily spending her days researching and passing her knowledge onto others in the clan. Frost has never left the clan's territory since - not even to try and find her family. They're probably better off without her... or at least, that's what she thinks. |
