B I O G R A P H Y

When Chrysanthemum first saw Kiss, the young dragon was filthy, bleeding, and utterly beautiful.

Chrysanthemum slew the cutthroats who had been trying to murder Kiss. This was an easy task. Chrysanthemum had trained for decades as an executioner.

Kiss became his charge, his apprentice, and deepest emotional bond. This is symbolized by the white flowers they each wear on their left claws. This flower is a promise.

Chrysanthemum taught Kiss stealth, cunning, and above all else, to always be beautiful.

They are Elfsbane's top assassins. These two can be hired out. It is incredibly expensive to do so, but they will always get the job done with a finesse and an attention to detail that leaves a client satisfied, if not frightened beyond all measure.

While their connection is undeniable, both dragons do mate with females to produce offspring. This in no way causes any jealousies or concerns between the pair. They feel no connection to these other dragons, nor to their offspring.

They truly see nothing worthy of their attention other than one another.

it is said that to sin is to obtain your heart's truest desire-
his desire was to burn, and so he loved the fire.

the boy's name was kiss, and poor chrys
was addicted to his lips.
perhaps a bit cliche- perhaps a little naive.
but there was undeniable talent behind his movements,
a veritable haze of triumph in each parried thrust.
there was room to improve, for sure, but
he could already see his own passion mirrored in the
younger dragon's eyes.

passion turned to obsession. obsession turned to love.
slow love, burning love, piercing love- his heart hurt
to be apart, his body ached when they were together.
and god, was kiss so beautiful--
everything about him filled chrys with need.
to bottle his essence, to roll in his laughter, to bathe
in the light of his smile.
his perfect teeth, his crooked horns, the smattering of
ash-colored fur on his face that he so longed to taste
as they danced at their swordplay.
never had the gods created a more perfect being.
chrys had nothing but appreciation for beauty,
and so kiss's was no different.

he captured it. he tasted it. he drew upon it like a
draught of ale, a sip of wine.
it burned inside of him, it gave him strength, it teased
him til he wept.
and yet he could do nothing but love his companion.
what a delightful, delicious pain it was, to love.

they were unstoppable. as a team, they were unbeatable.
with training, and practice, kiss improved until they could
twirl together and face any enemy with confidence
and twin gleaming smiles.
the essence of beauty, the picture of poise, two fingerprints
of god placed on mortal soil.

no one, seeing them, could deny it.
