Biography
"There you are, my little ones! Plenty of water for everybody!"
Gentle and shy, Candida enjoys being with her plants in her greenhouse more than anything else in the world. Said to be a Nature dragon born into the wrong flight, this unassuming Snapper cares for her green children with the nurturing affection of a mother doting on her children. For that reason, no one's tried to get her to go out and learn some fighting skill, as many know she won't even try. Candida loves life and her plants too much to truly harm another being, be it another dragon or some creature hoping to see how strong she is. Effectively a gentle giant, Candida moves slow and calm through her greenhouse garden, large feet always on the path carved from years of going to and fro from one box or pot next to gain her attention for the day. Be it water, nutrients or just a quiet chat, Candida has time for all of her plants including the dangerously poisonous ones. Each one does serve a purpose though, cut once big and healthy enough to go off to the alchemy lab and the drying rack for potions and tonics to be made the same day or before the week's end.
The rare times that Candida leaves home is for the market in search of new seeds to plant or tomes on recipes or care for particularly needy foliage she's not yet familiar with, spending more gold than necessary sometimes on things that she could easily get for a smaller price but eagerness keeps proving to be her enemy. But such things mean little if her plants live longer, have more potent effects and the mixes she crafts from them sell well to more than make up the loss, having enough sense to at least haggle or wait for a price cut on more seldom choices.
All in all, Candida is who you want making the potions than manning her own booth trying to sell them, as her naturally deep voice is never loud enough to call over the noisy mess that is often a market. It's also a bad idea to have her be gone for more than a few days too. Last time she left for a month and her climbing ivy had climbed, well... all over the place! Just hope when you go to her garden, all the leaves and blades are within its border, not poking outside.
This isn't 'Shop of Horrors' people, and it's not run by a kid named Seymour.
