Alpin

"Ha you're nothing! You'll never be strong like me!"

The very definition of a bully, Alpin suffers very little when it comes to other dragons invading his space and even less if they don't know to avoid him yet. Every encounter with him ends in pain and tears for the unlucky dragon who gets too close and this arrogant Guardian sees an opening he just can't pass up. None end in horrible injury or blood anymore, not since he was severely punished last he'd gotten into a fight and sent his 'opponent' to the infirmary. Watchful gazes of other dragons no longer fooled by his feigned innocence in a number of incidents, Alpin has learned just what he can and can't get away with, less and less as time goes on. Many wish his frustrations will finally be enough that he'll leave and never return, allowing many to let out a relaxing sigh once their relentless tormentor is gone.

Yet, one shouldn't be so quick to judge: Alpin is in fact suffering himself, his father Caspian a very critical figure, at least in terms of his opinion. Not once has he raised a claw to his son but to Alpin, the older Guardian's lacking affection might as well be blows if not to his ego, then his heart. Like all youth just wanting their fair share of attention, Alpin's actions only gain disdain from his father, sadness from his soft-spoken mother but at least he's noticed and that's often good enough.

Social unrest aside, this fractured dragon is at the very least one of the best you need out in the field to clear the way for travelers and foragers. This way Alpin gets the worst of his ire out of the way by taking down a Beastclan member with a vengeance and show back up at the lair, marginally more civil compared to when he left. Not exactly a healthy outlet, everyone's glad the terse Guardian has found something other than attacking his own clanmates in their own lair, outside the arena and at random.

Better that Wildwood Owl than us, right? Cross your claws that that's where he leaves it this time.
