Biography

Neurosis given form. Any illness you can come up with, Dust probably has it, or thinks he has it, or knows a dragon who knew a dragon who had it and it PROBABLY got spread to him and is just dormant. His fur is patchy from his need to pluck it out, and his voicebox hoarse and scratchy from whining.

He came to Eo's clan largely because of his best (and only, for good reason) friend Galileo. They'd long planned traveling together to a fresh, new land. Galileo to study new things and see new stars, and Dust because he was so miserable in the Windswept Plateau that every scent reminded him of his various torments and anxieties, and his poor Tundra brain was overwhelmed by his own neuroses. Here, at least, he can skulk off to a private part of the ruins to cleanse his nose of anxious scents and recharge himself.

Apart from Galileo, the only other dragon he spends time with is Ruka. His easily domineered and pitiable nature appealed to her bossy and maternal nature, and before long, the two became a very odd couple. She protects him from danger, real or imagined (most imagined), and in return, he listens to her commands and nurtures her offspring while she's out hunting. Though she's not very talkative, Dust enjoys having a silent ear and muscular shoulder to lay his worries on. Maybe she cares, maybe she doesn't. But she tolerates his constant complaining, and that's good enough for him.
