Shokhan is part of a rare subspecies of dragon, Kitsunes. He is a reculsive dragon, avoiding talking about his past as much as he can. Not many dragons know where this Imperial came from and what caused him such distress.

Old tales tell of malicious Shiro Kitsunes, cursed to the bodies of dragons. Shokhan is trying to redeem himself, to free him of his bounds.
