Exiled from his birth clan, Kjaltan became bitter and hateful. Those around him were always afraid, always whispering of ways to end him. His power to control plant matter, even unintentionally at times, makes him many an enemy he did not want. Now, though, he embraces it. Dragons say he is to be hated and feared? So be it. He will show them true fear when he stands at the top of the world, above even the deities, and looks down upon his whimpering servants, and makes them suffer unto eternity with only the Princes at his side.

There is only one truth in the world, and it is fear.

----
(my (ZenithDragon's) contribution to his story)
That is only part of his story however. One day, he encountered a seemingly ordinary cave amidst a developing settlement of dragons. It wasn't anything he hadn't seen before; for he had carved his way through other clan lair's before. And he relished to hear the screams of other dragons once more. So he set his plants upon the working dragons, soon being able to listen to those screams once more and causing the guards at the cave's entrance to come and investigate as he walked among the carnage. They fought back, ripping and tearing at his plants, even casting spells. He ignored it at first, far to amused by what was going on and the sheer mass of some of the reptiles. unaware that they were winning actually.

From out of no where, he was tackled by a blue mirror who was faster than his build would suggest. He paid him no mind, facing him in combat, only to be on the receiving end of a blubbery body slam from a particularly overstuffed guardian. He blacked out after that. When he awoke he was restrained with chains and before what he presumed, and later confirmed to be the clan leader. For the first time in a long while he encountered a dragon who appeared not to fear him. He was upset that he attacked his clan, sure, but he was rather forgiving. He noted the skydancer's rather amazing prowess with plants and asked what exactly it was that Kjaltan hoped to gain from attacking them. His response... shocked Lief, or so Kjaltan thought, as he was offered the chance to stay with the clan and see if the clan would help him achieve his grand vision.

Of course, he accepted the proposal and stayed with the clan for several weeks. Each consisted of regular attendance of the clan's all-you-can-eat buffets, which he made sure to stuff himself until his stomach ached. He still couldn't trust the clan and he couldn't take them on, not all of them. And he wasn't about to let this opportunity pass him by. If they were offering food, he wasn't going to turn it down. All the overeating eventually caught up with him, however, and he grew into a rather plump prince indeed.

Over the course of his stay, he did meet several other dragons, including the ones that captured him, finding them to contain strange or bizarre powers like him. They seemed curious about his gifts and willing to train him rather than judge him or outcast him. Sure, there were those that were rather peeved about his attack. He did help out with the settlement project going on outside the main lair with some of the digging, so that helped make amends. Granted, he had already trained with his powers on his own but it was... pleasing to admired for his powers.

In a way, he came to be treated like a prince and looked up to by those beneath him. Sure, he had to do work, going on bounty hunts, attending power lectures, and taste testing chef creations, not to mention even he had to question the mental stability of some of the other residents. But he came to call the clan home and literally grew to love the clan and all of it's rotund residents.
