It is said that Thor is born from lightning. He was given to Odin by a flash of blue light.
Though, the truth is that he was born between Odin and wife, Frigg, many months ago. Thor grew up in the palace that was located on the central mound of Golden Valhalla. The Skydancer grew up a healthy, happy dragon. He took in stride the addition of a brother that looked nothing like his parents nor himself. He was ecstatic to have a little brother to play at the time. Loki definitely was someone that was fun. They would frolic through the flowers and roll down hills.

Though, that time was about to change.

Loki decided to leave Valhalla. He wanted something new. He needed adventure. Thor didn't want his brother to leave. They never left Valhalla. Loki didn't know what was outside their borders that protected them at all costs. Loki argued with him. They fought. It was during this fight that Thor felt the prickling sensation of static electricity. It brought him to Odin's vault. Odin's weapons were in the fault. He walked his way to the back of the vault where a lone hammer stood. He picked the hammer up with his maw before realizing it was light. Odin, who had followed him, stood in stunned silence before he spoke to his oldest son.

"You have been able to hold Mjolnir, Thor. You have proven yourself worthy."

It was in that moment a bright flash of light appeared around Mjolnir. In place of the hammer stood a Guardian. A large Guardian that had that air of intimidation around him. He stared at Thor before bowing his head to him.

"Thank you for finding me, Master Thor. I am Asmund. And, you, you are my charge. I will protect you at all costs, and my hammer form will control the power of lightning."

Thor stared in amazement at the other dragon before grinning. "This is cool. I didn't believe I was going to get my first Einjarhar from your vault, father."

Thor and Asmund were an unstoppable force. They beat every opponent. They raised to the occasion whenever they needed to defend their homelands themselves. It was at these moments Thor had started to feel the same pull his brother Loki, who had left long ago, had felt. He wanted to explore the different lands. The Skydancer talked to his father. Odin nodded in solemn agreement.

"With Asmund by your side, I do not worry for you my son. Go now. Explore to your hearts content."

Thor is welcomed at Valhalla anytime, but he prefers exploring the lands.
