Biography
Itia
The goddess of the Moon
|
There once were two dragons that lived together peacefully. One of sparkling blue colors, the other black and red, they would roam the nightskies together. When the sun would go down, they would take off, fly endlessly, until they grew tired and they would rest, redoing their balades together the next night. The night would illuminated by the great Moon, which colors would change depending on who would be leading the flight. Worshiped by the night dwellers (demons, vampires...) , the couple ended up protecting them and cheerishing them. While Itia took care of them as a loving mother, her mate, Episkiazo, showed them the power of magic, and how it runs in every living being, traveling through the blood. Their devotees slowly learned how to use magic and, afterwards, learned that their magic essence could be enhanced by the consumption of the fluide of life. As such, they would then evolve to have the urge of drinking blood. This caused Itia to doubt the acts of her lover but seeing how pleased he was with it, she stayed silent and coutinuously looked after the mortals. With the worshipers killing to grow stronger, Episkiazo also grew stronger. Sadly, his thirst for power grew stronger and stronger. As such, he ended up influencing the night dwellers into a dreadful war against those who did not worship the couple of the Moon. Many died. Too many. The lands where covered in blood. Itia implored that he should stop but, seeing how with each death he grew stronger, he instead order even more terrible acts. The battle of the mortals made the Ancient gods act to stop the war. In his greed, Episkiazo tried to battle with the Ancient gods but ended up loosing. Itia begged them to let her lover live. While the god of the Blood Moon would live, he would be enchained in an unknown cave for eternity as punishement. The night dwellers still worship the couple and pray for the return of Episkiazo. Alone, Itia now flies around at night searching for her lost loved one, she too hoping he would return by her side. |
