Amulette

The Clan's Prophetess, the grandiose Lady Maize, sat within her shrouded, crystal filled, mystical tent, studying and chanting over a small, azure colored amulet late one dark, stormy night.
As she called upon the Tidelord's power of Sight, the rain outside picked up. The water in the jars and scrying bowls around her started to swirl, then, drop by drop, all of the surrounding water started to slowly rise into the air. Lady Maize shut her eyes tight and hastened with her powerful chanting, raising her hands into the air as she let the maigicks flow through her. The water concentrated above the mysterious amulet, and, glowing bright blue, drove themselves into the gemstone's surface, causing a bright flash of brilliant blue light.
Lady Maize's eyes flew open at the sound of light chirping. There, curled into a small ball, quivering in fear, lay a baby Skydancer, azure blue, with smooth, gem like skin. She looked around herself with her large, deep blue eyes wide. Lady Maize reached down and cradled the tiny one close to herself, humming to calm both the hatchling and herself.
She took in the youngster as her own child, raising her in the ways of the Water Flight, from their rituals to their magic. From the time she was only a few days old, Lady Maize realized she had issues with her eyes. She would spook and jump whenever Lady Maize would pick her up without saying anything, and never focused on her adoptive mother's face when she spoke, only wildly glancing in the general direction. From this, the Apothecary, Kiuru, told Lady Maize that Amulette would never have full use of her eyes, in fact she could only make out blurry shapes, given that there wasn't too bright or too dim of lighting.
As she grew, little Amulette shown great power as a Seer, as well as in seeing with her mind. She got so good at it that, even when blindfolded, she could solve complicated puzzles, fly in a race, or run an obstical course. She became able to picture in her mind everything around her, and, with enough meditation, could even glance into past events, some even from before she was born. Amulette is a kind young soul, helpful, focused on her studies, and always bubbly happy.
