Prefers to go by Alexander instead of Alexandrite; goes simply by Alex with friends. He was named due to his resemblance to the gem, Alexandrite; something he furthered after getting a accent at a Starfall Celebration.
Alexander heals not the body, like Palomia, but the emotional state of dragons. His crystals help retune their emotions to be more positive. By proxy, he's also something of a counselor as the dragons he's treating are often want to open up to him about what's bothering them. He mostly treats the guards but sometimes treats Astaria after a long night.
Another proxy due to his occupation is he's friends with Aeliana, Alethea, and Palomia. Aeliana and Alethea come to chat with him about gems and minerals while Palomia comes to chat with him about healing and how to make her patients more comfortable emotionally.
