Martingale likes to think that he knows everything, and does a good job of pretending that he does. He is very vain and pompous, and loves to impress others with long, impressive-sounding words out of context. The laymen love his show and confidence, so long as they don't realize that what he says most of the time makes little sense at all.

Martingale tolerates the company of other intelligent dragons, but only as long as they are not more intelligent than he is. He's usually more than a bit annoyed when someone calls him out on his many factual inaccuracies and out-of-context diction. More than anything he prefers the company of dragons who are more than willing to accept whatever he says as truth.
