Biography
Ludovic "Ludo" Mathéo Delacroix
"To be fair, I never actually said I was a good Hunter. Really I'm just someone swinging a sword-axe thing and hoping for the best."
 Bio: A young man with severe, chronic Tuberculosis, Ludovic Delacroix became a Hunter in exchange for help from the Healing Church. Inexperienced and trembling, he isn't the best Hunter out there, but he does his best. (Bloodborne oc) Ludovic, or Ludo, was born to a rich family far outside of Yharnam. As a child, he was exposed to and subsequently diagnosed with Tuberculosis, which was only exacerbated by asthma (originally caused by pollen from estate trees). As a result, his parents became extremely overprotective of him, unintentionally creating a very stifling environment; not allowed to play outside with his two brothers or partake in physical activity, Ludo grew up extremely sheltered and very lonely. As he got older, he became fluent in multiple languages, was taught the basics of fencing and (indoor) gardening, and dipped his toes into other artistic skills, like painting and playing various instruments. Unfortunately, his religious family brought him up to be quite intolerant, and with the extreme sheltering he endured he had no one around to help him question their views. As a result, he unquestioningly accepted their doctrine against "others," and just assumed that his lack of romantic feelings for women something he'd grow out of. By the time Ludo reached his mid-twenties, news of Yharnam's famous Blood Healing Church had reached their secluded home. He begged his family to take him there, but his parents--as distrustful of Yharnam's religion as Yharnamites were of outsiders--refused. So Ludo snuck out, just as desperate for independence and freedom as he was for a cure, and struck a deal with the first person he met in exchange for the healing process. Looking back, he'd tell you he should have asked what "hunting" really entailed, since "kill a few beasts" severely understated the job requirements. During his time as a Hunter he met and befriended several other hunters, in similar predicaments as his own, including Tikhon Sokolov. The former doctor patiently worked with Ludo and taught him how terrible his views growing up were (especially ones regarding sexuality)...although sometimes it took Rory (another hunter) actually shouting at him to get the point across. His fate as a Hunter is yet unknown, but he has a very strong fear of death, which could potentially lead to disastrous consequences... |
