Poor Pollux. The dragon was not under the impression that others were not content with his ruling. He thought that he was doing an excellent job of keeping everything under control. But of course, he was not. He ruled safely for over a year and had many dragonets with Cordia. Though, one day, she told him that she did not want any more. She was tired of having dragonets that were just kicked into dirt.

The fight they had was not the prettiest. Talons slashes and words were thrown. In the end, Cordia charged at her mate in a fit of rage and pushed him off the platform. All dragons knew that the leader of their lair was born on the platform and it was an act of disrespect to ever push him off without his agreement. Pollux was shocked by her actions and declared her one of the banished. She told him that he was no longer her mate and then Cordia left. She was simply gone. And, not only did she leave Pollux in ruins, she left the lair in turmoil.

Unknown to Pollux, the entire lair was furious. They were enraged over the fact that he thought he could just continue ruling as he had been and soon Pollux heard news of a new contender, one that would eventually rise to beat him from his position as a leader. It was Harmony. Pollux had barely heard of him before but agreed to fight him for the throne of the lair. Of course, the leader was under the impression he would be winning shortly. But he was simply incorrect.

He lost. Harmony gracefully took his place upon the platform and banished Pollux to where his ex-mate was. Pollux was shamed for who he was - a weak, terrible, corrupt leader who had no intentions to go. He was forced to wear a skin, one that covered the real him. His mate was not treated the same way, but Pollux soon found that his prince and princess had been banished too. This infuriated him but he knew there was simply nothing he could do. And so, when they moved away from their home in Nature and went to Earth, Pollux resigned himself to the lifestyle he lives today.

Simply put, he does not concern himself with the lair. They mean nothing to him anymore. They are not what he knows them to be. He does not know those who love the Earthy home that he is forced to live in. He knows those who love the vines and nature, who adore the plants and the leafy greens that would spring up beside you. Not those who prefer the dry, earthen landscape he despises. And yet, he still lives on.

It's a wonder that he has not left yet and many are shocked to see that he is still in the lair. Harmony refuses to banish Pollux, Cordia, and the remaining children of the pair, yet Pollux is still not even clear of the reasoning. He sulks around in his greenish-brown skin and shoots sharp glares at his unclothed Clanmates. Most of all, he is infuriated by his children's wearing of skins, too - despite it being almost a few moons ago that they had been wearing the mark of a heir.

Pollux, though, is confused by the way his ex-mate has been acting - inching closer and closer to him each day, almost as if she wants to be with him once more...
