Biography
A dry wind scrapes across the land.
It is a wind that has one instinctively hold their breath, lest they breathe it in by accident.
A wind that has one close their eyes, lest they behold it suck the life dry of the small creatures around them, of the plants before them.
It endlessly winds and twists, draining anything it touches of it's vitality, searching for those who don't have enough energy to sustain themselves, or who are foolish enough to take it in.
In Shadow territory, a freshly hatched babe breathes it's last in it's mothers arms.
In Arcane territory, a den elder shudders and falls still in his sleep, to be found by his beloved much later.
This is the cycle of life, of birth and death and everything in between.
This energy will not go wasted. It will return to it's host, the master of the wind, a dragon with a voice like the drone of flies and scales like withered leaves. A dragon lost in her own power, capable of feeling the pulse of life across Sornieth and taking it, redirecting it to those who desperately need it.
This well of energy she gives to her husband, who bestows it on those on the brink of death themselves, to restore them to their former strength. The Lifegiver and the Lifetaker, so intertwined with themselves that they may not even appear as two dragons anymore. Deep in the recesses of this Clan in the Lightning Farm, they play god with the lives around them.
And when the stored power has been depleted, when enough lives have been saved and the Clan is once again pulsing with vitality, the tendrils of death seep from the ground to once again steal children, parents, friends, lovers, from those precious to them. All to save a few nondescript lives.
