She keeps back and watches them. The ceiling above them is bare and rough, she really needs to get that worked on. Pyroies laughs loudly, Kasai looks at him with lovestruck eyes while Aurora carefully brushes Starkindlers feathers. She feels her heart swell and wonders if she’s gone soft |
She buries her claws in her mane and marvel at the softness. ‘You’re beautiful’ she whispers and her wife blushes before her. She repeats it. It feels both like she’s saying it too loudly, and like it deserves to be shouted till her longues hurt
The waves are crashing beneath them. She gets the feeling this is where the earth ends, there’s nothing but water from here. She suddenly feels incredibly small. Aurora, standing there on the edge of the world with her, thinks she looks almost endless |
