Pnevma

Pnevma She/Her Future Clan Monarch Novice Mage Pnevma is a mage, like her mother and grandfather before her. She's cold and calculating; her mind is sharp and her wit is unmatched. She's the next in line to become the clan's Monarch, and thus has begun shadowing Ceremar to prepare herself for the task. Pnevma's thoroughly dedicated this endeavor; when she's not with Ceremar, she has her head buried in old textbooks, records, scripts - anything that can further her knowledge of leadership and the arcane. Where some other dragons have fire breath, Pnevma has what can only be described as arcane breath. She can emit pure magical energy from her mouth. The structure of her neck and upper torso deviates from that of normal Ridgebacks, which is reasoned to be the source of this ability.

Seemingly, this unique condition has the side effect of rendering Pnevma mute. To compensate for this, she has learned various alternative forms of communication. For example, she is able to use her magic to generate floating arcane runes around herself, which others can read. She's still learning to generate more conventional letters. Additionally, she's begun to develop her own form of sign language using claw, wing, and tail gestures. She has even begun to learn telepathy, though her mother had to restrict her to practicing it on select members of the clan. Apparently, since Pnevma has no voice for the effect to be based on, it defaults to a low, growling voice, which most of the other clan members find terrifying.
