Biography

Bedelia was nearly killed by a horrible plague as a hatchling, which was cast on her as a curse to punish her parents. Healers barely saved her life. Since that brush with death, Bedelia has worn a mask. Rumors suggest she can't breathe without it. Others insist she wears it to protect herself against another illness. The most morbid dragons like to scare youngsters with stories of the disfigurements hidden underneath.

Bedelia enjoys causing this nervous fascination, and has only ever told her mate Wyldon the truth: that her mother first urged her to wear the mask in order to disguise her, hoping that whatever spirit or spell that had been cast wouldn't be able to find its way to her again. By the time Bedelia sought out on her own and found this clan, she was so used to the mask that she felt no need to take it off.

Wyldon regularly fills the beak of her mask with dried flowers and spices. Though she will not wear his flowers, she loves carrying the smells of his garden along with her wherever she goes.
