Biography
Narkissos, as his name implies, is an incredibly narcissistic coatl. Others often perceive this trait as annoying, and even self-entitlement at Narkissos's end. But that doesn't stop Narkissos from entertaining and further strengthening these opinions on himself, no. He believes that all the dragons who stick their snoots in the air or to the side in disgust when he walks in flaunting his bright and flashing jewelry are in denial of his obvious superiority in a fashion sense to those around him.
It's Narkissos's fashion he takes the most pride in, though. His neon, glistening feathers are often brimming with bright or shiny articles of jewelry, these pieces varying from necklaces, chokers, studded earrings, and floral carved bracelets. His superiority doesn't end with his golden, typically blinding and flashing fashion though. He believes that he is good at everything. And he means EVERYTHING.
Narkissos the Narcissistic coatl has it all! He can write, dance, participate in Broadway plays. And the thing he takes the most pride in and derives the most enjoyment from is singing. He believes that he sings with the voice of an angel. Being narcissistic offers the ability to change the pitch of his voice within his mind. Tragically, the ears of those around him do not have this ability.
To his peers, his voice sounds like a cat's sharp claws scraping against a blackboard too hard. With his supposedly fabulous singing, it comes with many atrocious and out of tune tones, most of which were displeasing to the ears of the dragons around him. As a result of this, most people try not to play music around him, as he tends to get far into it, having memorized most of the songs most popular in his clan by heart. He frequently attends karaoke nights, and you can imagine how that ends...
Narkissos would describe himself as sweet, colorful, and lovely. Because of these traits, he is incredibly obsessed with macarons, which are meringue-based confections that originated in France. But, those that have been around Narkissos, usually consisting of his clanmates, know that he is colorful and occasionally "lovely" to be around, but not exactly the sweetest around. He is delusional and thinks he is good at everything, which tends to drive more dragons away than lure in. To his friends, though, Narkissos is very open and will offer emotional support in times of need, just occasionally unintentionally hurting them by saying something he's better at than them, which may kill the mood, but that's just typical Narkissos.
It is a weird coincidence, how Narkissos got into the clan. It was his singing that got him the invitation to join their clan. While roaming around as he headed to a shop to purchase macarons, he was singing a song he had written about macarons. One of the dragons in his now homeland approached him, and before the dragon even spoke, Narkissos piped up.
"I know my singing ability is enchanting." He said with a proud and satisfied smile as he confidently looked at the bewildered dragon before him. Oblivious to his fear from the various atrocious pitches that had occurred during his singing, he continued. "You look like one of those clan dragons! Ooh, maybe I could be a traveling singer in the clan if I could get in! I definitely have the talent for that. You know the dragons that play on the drums on the battlefield? Perhaps I could sing on the battlefield instead and get us a more distinct battle cry! Oh, it would be truly marvelous..."
After an awkward moment of silence was shared between these two dragons, the clan dragon finally replied. "Alright. Let's go back home and get this deal arranged.." And so they went. Having not heard his singing yet, the clan happily accepted him and soon regretted it once he started singing in the clearings daily.
Although narcissistic, Narkissos expresses passion towards his extravagant fashion, as well as his singing ability. Because of his passion and interesting but somewhat appealing fashion sense, they have decided to keep him around to humor themselves in difficult times.
