Dopson spent his early adulthood as a Tempest Soldier and served frequently as a guard at a hotly targeted outpost, which also happened to be his birthclan. The outpost was a good size and located at the base of a butte, it was home to dozens of highly trained technicians researching the hottest tech. It was just far enough from the Tempest Spire to make it a target by raiders. Despite the multitude of skirmishes he’s been in, this isn’t where he lost his leg. After he retired from the Tempest Army at 26, he took up work as a scavenger, working directly for those who he once fought. Having developed a good eye for what was most valuable in the wastes he found work easily, however there was a bit of a black spot on his name amongst those most loyal to life in the Tempest Spire’s society. Despite him retiring with honors from the military, he was thought of as a traitor. Not that it bothered him terribly much, for the most part being a guard at an outpost was a boring life, scavenging was much more interesting, and dangerous too.
