By Megara's orders, Mercury was exalted to the Lightweaver. Little after, those words were spoken : ''I see the truth. Though it wounds my heart, the Imperials were a mistake that must be rectified.'' As he heard it, a shiver of horror passed through Mercury. Indeed, far in the clan he left behind lived an old imperial named Aludra. An old imperial Mercury had strong feelings for.

Terrified for his love's fate, Mercury ran back to the clan. But something was different. The bold mirror who had left the city, a long time ago, was now a strong, colorful snapper. Nobody recognized him, and maybe it was better this way. Mercury didn't want any of them to learn he had escaped his responsabilites!

Mercury now wanders around and in the city, a stranger for most of its inhabitants, looking to protect Aludra and the other imperials who live in the sunbeam ruins. Even Aludra can't tell who he used to be - but the old imperial seem to appreciate the quiet smile he gives him, the yellow roses he sometimes give him, and other affective demonstrations...

Maybe running away from the Lightweaver let him have the greatest gift of them all : being able to charm his man for real, this time.
