Blind since birth, Laverne has learned to use her other senses as a way to see. Other than her blindness, Laverne is a normal dragon who loves to talk and sunbathe. She is very friendly, except to those who have hurt her loved ones.

Laverne was an outcast in her old clan, the other hatchlings picking on her because of her eyesight. She never let them get to her, though. Their teases only helped in making her the tough dragon she is today. Laverne never backs down from a fight, and despite her amiable attitude, is very fierce in battle.

Laverne finds everyone trustworthy, one of her only weaknesses. She tries to see the good in everyone, even when there is no good to see. Despite her thinking no one could ever love her because of her condition, she is happily mated to Chiron.
