Life Unafraid
You guess to yourself for only a fraction of a second. Maybe I should fear her, maybe... She is very large and lithe and her walk beckons vision of those stalking velvetty panthers you sometimes see pictures of. You don't know her. You don't know anything about her. You only just met. The only thing you can tell about her is that automatically gentle sort of warmth her glowing yellow eyes touch you with every time your eyes meet hers and it really honestly feels so soothing. Am I home? I want to stay here. This place makes me feel safe. It feels right. Maybe I should stay here, maybe... And if it wasn't for the fact that this is the fist time you ever saw her you would have to guess that. You would have to smile and you would almost call her... mother.

You're surprised this being had to have been born. You can't grasp why. Even as she settles down to tell you that she was born in darkness and soon began desperate scratchings at the surface of the truth and its beautiful drowning light.
